The BIP is not a typical executive development program. It does not aim so much to develop managerial skills as to create growths and profits for the company by:
- unleashing the entrepreneurial power of its scientists, engineers and other technical professionals as well as 2) bridging the technical and business acumen in the organization to drive business innovation.
- Research has established that engineers and scientists need to be more business-minded and customer oriented. They also need to be better crossfunctional decision-makers, communicators and team players. The BIP focuses sharply on developing these critical competencies, using the learning methods best suited to technical specialists, so they can produce growths and profits for the company.
